Stories Around the fire

Amanda & Andy – A Wedding Around the Fire

The day Amanda and Andy finally celebrated their wedding came with soft autumn rain and the kind of magic only close friends and family can spark. After covid postponements, they wanted a celebration that felt intimate, warm, and a little cinematic — think subtle Harry-Potter vibes and spontaneous emo sing-alongs.

We built an open-fire kitchen on site and welcomed guests with a charcuterie table that set the tone: hand-crafted cured meats (including rustic country cuts and house-sliced salami), pickled vegetables, roasted peppers, olives, toasted nuts, rustic breads, and our sauces made on the spot — fresh chimichurri and llajua for a bright, spicy kick. People gathered around that table first, sharing bites and stories before the main feast.

As the evening settled in, the fire became the heart of the party. From the grill came slow-roasted beef cuts, chorizos, and seasonal vegetables kissed by smoke. Plates moved from the parrilla to long tables where candles, laughter, and clinking glasses took over. The rain never got in the way — it added rhythm. Guests drifted between the flames and the dance floor, carried by music and the aroma of the asado.

“Just a snippet of our autumnal, rainy, covid-postponed, HP-inspired, emo singing, best wedding food ever (@criosho) wedding… I get so much joy replaying this day that was not only filled with love but so incredibly fun thanks to all our family and friends!”Amanda

For Amanda & Andy it was “the best wedding food ever.” For us, it was about creating a living memory: fire for warmth, flavors that tell stories, and a celebration that felt unmistakably theirs.

Jason & Priscilla – An Anniversary by the Fire

Jason and Priscilla chose Criosho to celebrate their 7th anniversary in the Virginia mountains with an intimate dinner full of fire, flavor, and laughter. It was one of those gatherings where the food and the atmosphere spoke for themselves.

We don’t always have many photos from our events — sometimes we’re too focused on cooking and making sure every detail is perfect, and sometimes we don’t have access to the guests’ pictures afterward. For Jason & Priscilla, we share the images we do have, as a glimpse of that unforgettable evening by the fire.

A Special Benefit Event in Virginia

Some gatherings go beyond food — they become moments of community, purpose, and joy. This anniversary celebration in Bluemont, Virginia, was one of them.

We prepared a full open-fire menu on site: whole salmon cleaned and grilled right there, fried empanadas, ribs, sausages, fire-roasted vegetables, fresh salads, and seasonal fruits finished on the grill with ice cream. The night brought together flavors, music, and artisan vendors, with even the winner of The Voice USA joining the stage.

We don’t always have many photos of us cooking — often we are too focused on the fire and making sure every detail is perfect — but we share what we have as a glimpse of that unforgettable day. A benefit event filled with flavor, music, and solidarity, where everyone came together around the fire.

Lee & Dan –

A cozy riverside night filled with Argentine flavors, laughter, and the warmth of friendship.

By the Wye River, surrounded by friends, laughter, and the smell of fire, we shared one of those evenings that remind us what Criosho is all about — connection, flavor, and warmth.

Lee and Dan are the kind of people who make you feel at home the moment you arrive. Kind, generous, and full of joy, they hosted a casual gathering with friends, including guests who flew in from France. The day was cloudy and calm, with a light drizzle that made us move the charcuterie table under the tent — and somehow, that made everything even cozier.

The menu was pure Argentine soul:
A charcuterie table, beef empanadas, and a live-fire parrillada with flank steak, blood sausage, chorizo, chicken, and salmon grilled over open flames. For dessert, grilled peaches with dulce de leche and wheat popcorn, with an optional touch of Blue Label to end the night in style.

Lee and Dan’s generosity went beyond words — they even invited our team to sit and dine with them and their guests. We couldn’t join right away, since we were still cooking and preparing dessert, but that gesture stayed with us.

Later that night, when everything was packed and the fire was down to embers, we finally joined them for a toast, a few laughs, and even a few dances to songs one of the guests played from his phone.

It was simple, heartfelt, and unforgettable.
Because at Criosho, it’s never just about the food — it’s about sharing life around the fire.

Every fire tells a story. We’ll be sharing more memories soon.
