  1. The famous Choripán
    The Choripán, or as the locals call it, “Chori”, is the sandwich of choice for many Argentinians and tourists. This sandwich is basically a delicious beef and pork sausage grilled to perfection and served on Argentinian bread or as the locals call it “pan”. It is seasoned with chimichurri sauce and other condiments to order. Simple, delicious, and super satisfying.
  2. Lomito
    The Lomito is the ultimate super sandwich. Lomito is what Argentinian food is all about. What makes this food so amazing is that it basically is a Philly steak sandwich on steroids. Lomito is usually topped with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, chimichurri, mayonnaise, fried egg, ham, and melted cheese. Hard to take a bite out of but we’re sure you’ll manage.
  3. Empanadas
    Empanadas are everywhere in Argentina. This savory pastry is a staple of South America, but Argentinians have made it special by using their super tasty and fresh ingredients. Each region of the country has its own specialty, but the most popular ones are empanadas de carne, empanada de jamon y queso, and empanada de pollo.
  4. Fugazzeta
    Tourists refer to Fugazzeta as Argentinian pizza. This delicious food got its origins from Italian Fugazza and it is basically a deep-dish pizza inspired by the Italian focaccia. The only difference between the two is the Argentinian cousin has a thick, rich cheese layer topping mixed with Argentinian spices and seasoning.
  5. Sandwich de Miga
    You will find this extremely popular sandwich in almost at every corner bakery in Argentina. They are made with thinly sliced bread with crusts sheared off hence the name, Miga or crustless sandwich. The bread is super light, and the various fillings include cheese, eggs, ham, mayonnaise, olives and ham, tuna, and many more. You can get them with two slices of bread or three slices with one stacked in between the fillings.
